Production of Audio Visual Lectures

The centre performs various activities by integrating different activities by integrating different forms of media in teaching learning process undertaken by the university. In the age of information technology, learners look for more innovative ways to learn rather than relying on the conventional modes of education.The videos are prepared chronologically and uploaded accordingly to aid navigation. The videos contain learning objectives in the beginning, followed by core content along with multimedia and graphics and ending with summary. Videos lectures for SWAYAM PRABHA DTH Channel

Video lectures are prepeared and broadcasted through Swayam Prabha DTH Channel 20 since May 2021. These videos can be viewed via Swayam Prabha Direct To Home (DTH) Channel 20. The channel  aims to bring about lifelong learning to learners residing in various parts of the country focusing various state open universities. The channels are devoted to telecasting of high-quality educational programmes continually.The videos are avaialable through eGyankosh portal.

MOOCs Production

EMPC extends its full support to the creation of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) by providing audio-visual production and post-production services for the SWAYAM Platform. This collaboration aligns with SWAYAM's goal of promoting learning through audio-video, multimedia, and modern pedagogy, harnessing visual technology to develop engaging teaching and learning resources. .Courses delivered through SWAYAM are available for free of cost to the learners, however learners wanting a SWAYAM certificate should register for the final proctored exams that come at a fee and attend in-person at designated centres on specified dates.

Each MOOC consists of approximately 40 video lectures enriched with graphics and multimedia resources, aiming to provide an enhanced learning experience. These six MOOCs have been recently created in collaboration with different schools within the University.

Audio Visual coverage of University events

EMPC undertakes coverage of University Events both in campus and outsite of the campus. Important academic events, workshops, commemoration of important occasions, Foundation Day of the University and Radio Jnan Taranga CRS, Memorial Lectures, Various events related to the academic policies. Further EMPC  captures geo-tagged images of various events and facilities as per the requirement. The videos captured by the centre are later edited and uploaded in the YouTube channel of the University.

Academic programme production for TV

The reach of Television as a mass medium is quite impressive, gaining access among youth and old alike. To harness the efficacy  of the medium of  Television , the centre had started a half an hour live Educational Programme titled ‘SimarPoridhiBhangi’, through the well-known television channel ‘Prag News’ from 3rd June, 2018 for a duration of one  year. To reach out to the unreached learners and community of stakeholders, from December 2019,interactive academic programme were continued to be broadcasted via Doordarshan Kendra, Asom Channel. The Programmes were contributed by in-house faculties of the Universities designed following the SLM of the relevant courses.


Documentary Production

EMPC has contributed towards the preservation of ethnic folk culture in digital medium. As part of this initiative 6 documentaries were produced by the centre and uploaded in the official YouTube channel. The documentaries captures the essence of various folk performing arts native to certain region of Assam.
