Course Details

The MA English Programme is meticulously crafted to align with the standards upheld by other national and international universities. This programme is designed not only to generate an interest in literature but also to instil a spirit of critical inquiry and cultivate analytical and creative faculties in the learners. Commencing with a foundational introduction to English literature, encompassing its diverse sources and forms, the programme progressively delves into new areas of literature and literary studies, incorporating elements of criticism and literary theory.The curriculum is enriched with compulsory courses covering Language and Linguistics, Indian English Literature, and American Literature. Learners are presented with a unique opportunity to select an optional course which allows individuals to choose between delving into Modern European Literature or exploring the rich literary heritage of North-East India (in English and translation).

Eligibility

a. Any Graduate from KKHSOU or any other University recognized by UGC.

Documents to be enclosed:

Copies of Mark sheet and Pass Certificate of Bachelor’s Degree.

Fees (at the time of admission for 1^st semester):

₹ 6150

Total Programme Fees:

₹ 6150 X 4 semesters = ₹ 24600 + ₹ 1200 (Project Fee in 4^th semester)
