Prof. Rajendra Prasad Das

Vice Chancellor

Prof. Rajendra Prasad Das joined Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) as its 4th Vice Chancellor on 11 October, 2022. Before joining KKHSOU, he was the senior most Pro Vice-Chancellor (9th August, 2019 to 5th October, 2022) at IGNOU, New Delhi. He completed his full term as Vice-Chancellor of Berhampur University, Berhampur, Odisha from 4th August, 2016 to 2nd August, 2019.

Prof. Das has administrative experience of more than two decades in various positions and responsibilities in different universities in the country. He was Director, Institute of Management, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur for more than 10 years. While serving in Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, he served as Member, Executive Council (thrice); six times Dean, Faculty of Management Studies; Member, Academic Council; Chairman, Board of Studies in Management for more than a decade; Director, College Development Council; Chief Warden; Secretary, University Industry Partnership Council (UIPC), and held several other academic and administrative responsibilities.

He has received the Best Management Teacher Award several times from different institutions and has a teaching career spread over more than three and a half decades, starting from XLRI, Jamshedpur; Jiwaji University, Gwalior; Vikram University, Ujjain; and as Professor of Management in Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur from 2003 and continuing. He was a visiting faculty to IIM, Raipur and several other leading business schools in the country. He also acted as Member/Chairman in various AICTE, NAAC, and UGC teams, and as a member of UGC SAP teams for different universities.

Prof. Das obtained his PhD in Management from Kurukshetra University, Haryana, and FDPM from IIM, Ahmedabad. Under his supervision, 12 PhD scholars have been awarded PhD degrees, and he has five published books to his credit. He is a member of the Editorial Boards of several management journals and has published more than 95 papers in different national and international journals. He has participated in more than 100 national and international conferences held in India and abroad.
