Dr. Ritimoni Bordoloi CV
I, Dr. Ritimoni Bordoloi, have been working as a faculty in Education at KKHSOU since 2007 with great dedication which I believe is the only key towards success. My major responsibility as a faculty of an Open University has been the promotion of Higher Education and ODL in the state of Assam as well as in the North Eastern part of India. Besides regularly publishing both nationally and internationally on different aspects of Education and pedagogy in the context of the 21st century, I have been teaching at the undergraduate and post graduate levels along with supervising MPhil and PhD scholars. Some of my research interests include—Education for Women and the oppressed sections of the society, Use of OER in Higher Education, Social Security, Open Learning, Gender studies and Techno Pedagogy. I strongly believe that doing interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary researches in collaboration with national and international colleagues and institutions/organisations will provide due exposure to my University and that, as a teacher, I should always take cognizance of the latest developments and researches in my own research areas so that I can work relentlessly for the future of my university.
Dr. Bordoloi received the prestigious 2019 Emerald Literati Award for her paper “Transforming and Empowering Higher Education through Open and Distance Learning in India,” which was selected as Highly Commended by the selection panel of the Asian Association of Open Universities Journal. In 2022, she received the Emerald Literati Award for her paper under the category of Outstanding Paper Award 2022.
She has presented her research at international conferences held at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and in Hanoi, Vietnam. In 2019, she was a Visiting Scholar at the Korea National Open University (KNOU) under the International Staff Exchange Programme of the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU).
In 2020, she received an international project grant from AAOU (Indonesia) as one of the proponents to conduct research on the topic “MOOCs for Mobilising Higher Education in India.”
Recently, she edited a book titled “Open Higher Education in the 21st Century”, published by NOVA Science Publishers, New York, USA., which was indexed by SCOPUS and archived by the WHO (World Health Organization).
