Dr. Saikat Routh is an Assistant Professor in Discipline of  Bengali at the Padmanath Gohain Baruah School of Humanities, Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University. He earned the gold medel from Gauhati University as a topper of master degree examination. He completed his Ph.D. from Gauhati University in 2023. His Ph.D work based on diversified middle class mentality on the besis of Ramapada Choudhurys literature. He scholarly interests in Cinematography, Modern Drama,  Literary Theory,  Linguistics and Vaishnabha Philoshophy. Dr. Routh have strong acting  skills in Drama, Mime.

Dr. Routh has published three books and two edited books. He has also published many article in reputed Journal ecross the India.  He has also contributed to various academic books. Beyond academia, he is a renowned reciter. In a very short time, he has become a popular face of poetry writing and preactice in Assam. In addition to these educational activites, he is a good painter.
