Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) observed National Sports Day 2026 with a vibrant three-day schedule of programmes celebrating physical fitness and community engagement. Commencing on August 28 and concluding on August 30, 2026, the celebrations were aligned with the national theme "Khelega Bharat, Jeetega Bharat". The university-wide events brought together students, faculty, researchers, and residents across multiple venues, including the main campus, university-adopted villages, and various study centres. Key highlights included interactive discussions on sports and mental well-being, traditional and contemporary athletic competitions like 100-meter sprints and high jumps, and an enthusiastic football and kabaddi tournament organised in collaboration with the NSS Unit at Bodofa U.N. Brahma College. Through these holistic outreach initiatives, KKHSOU reaffirmed its deep commitment to fostering an active sporting culture, team spirit, and community inclusivity across Assam.
